Breakfast Clubs exist simply to facilitate veterans, families and serving personnel to meet in a safe, relaxed and social environment. By simply entering a location in the ‘Enter your town or Postcode’ search bar you are taken to a list of Breakfast Clubs who have individual pages and contact information.

The Grimsby breakfast club meets at The Wheatsheaf, Bargate, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, DN34 5AD, every Sunday from 10am to 12 noon. Email the organiser to find out more.

The “Forces Connect” app is designed to link users in four easy clicks to organisations offering help and support across a wide range of services. The free app is aimed at the entire armed forces community – serving personnel, reservists, veterans and their families easier to access support. Most of the armed forces community live, work and thrive without need of extra assistance, however where they do need additional support, the mobile app like this directory will help them access organisations that can provide the help and advice they need in a quick and simple way. To download the app, search “Forces Connect” in Apple’s App Store or the Google Play Store.

Veterans’ Gateway went live on 3 April 2017 and is the first point of contact for veterans and their families to connect with the help, advice and support they need from a network of organisations. A team of advisors will assess people at this first point of contact, ensuring they are quickly referred to the organisation that is best placed to support them, such as The Royal British Legion. The team of advisors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and many are veterans themselves. Veterans’ Gateway also has an extensive Self-Help service, allowing veterans to search for help and advice independently on a range of issues such as housing, employment and finances.
